A lot of top racers were using Beringer bars for their trail/street bikes and really liked them, but wanted a wider bar for racing. Up until then, most top AA pro riders were riding Slams, but some of the younger pros wanted something a little smaller with more up-sweep so they could run the bars back a bit further. Matt's bar was perfect, but a little narrow for making a serious run at the pay-out window. We went ahead and lightened them up with thinner tubing especially for racing but are seeing more and more street and trail riders riding these. Just remember, if you get these bars, you might want to cut them down, unless you are racing, or putting them on your snow bike, then you'll need all the stability you can get.
